The Waste Matters Project was commissioned by Kagad Kach Patra Kashtakari Panchayat (KKPKP) in 2010 to create a photo-documentary of the people employed in the solid-waste management sector of Pune. Around a thousand photographs were taken over a period of eight years. This is a showcase of the most popular photographs from the project.
